Al-Assad confers with British O' Brian

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad received on Monday the British Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mike O'Brien.
During the meeting, President al-Assad stressed Syria's care of the security and safety of the Iraqi people and the sovereignty and integrity of the Iraqi land.
For his part O'Brien affirmed to President al-Assad that British Prime Minister Tony Blair highly appreciates the relation with President Bashar al-Assad, Syria's regional and international role and the Syrian-British relations and working for enhancing these relations.
The two sides agreed upon the continuation of consultations and contact between the two countries.
