Lebanese figures stand against the American threats to Syria

Lebanese Former Prime Minister, Salim al-Hoss has condemned the American accusations against Syria, and described them as allegations aiming at forcing the Arabs to surrender their struggle with Israel.

In a statement issued yesterday, al-Hoss also condemned the US.- British aggression on Iraq that claimed many victims of Iraqi civilians.

For his part, Lebanese State Minister, Talal Arslan criticized the US. accusations against Syria that is considered the last stronghold to pan- Arab stance and the Arabs identity.

He stressed the importance of dealing with all challenges that are facing the Arab nation, especially the "capitulation projects." For his part, Member of the Lebanese Parliament, Mohammed Ra'ad denounced the US. accusations against Syria, pointing out to the Israeli promotion of the aggression on Iraq and stressing that the Iraqi people reject the American- British occupation.

Another condemnation is voiced by members of the Lebanese Parliament, Ali al-Bezi, Mohammed al-Hajjar, and Talal al-Merbi who called for raising the level of cooperation and coordination with Syria especially in this dangerous period, and for boosting the Syrian- Lebanese stances.
