Straw to visit Kuwait today

The British foreign office secretary Jacque Straw will pay today an official visit to Kuwait carrying a message from the British Prime minister Tony Blair relating to the British position concerning the Iraqi crisis, on the need that the UN should have a role in dealing with this issue.
The British minister will hold talks with senior Kuwaiti officials relating to the situation in Iraq as well as to the future of the Middle East peace process. The visit to Kuwait comes in the course of his tour to several Arab Gulf states.
