Farming-usage dams filled up to 62% of capacity

The volume of water stored in dams destined for farming usage reached 8 billion cubic meters, which is 62% of their capacity, compared to 45% in the same period of last year.
According to the agriculture and rural development ministry, the filling rate stands at 91% in some dams and does not exceed 8% in others. The total volume of rainfalls nationwide up to April 1st reached 362 mm, against 298 mm recorded in an average year.
