Arab parliaments: US wants oil of Iraq and controlling the region

Arab Parliaments Union has denounced "the American-British aggression on Iraq" and condemned "the annihilation war that Israel is carrying out against the Palestinian people" stressing support to the Palestinian Intifada and calling Israel to commit itself to all UN resolutions and to withdraw of all the occupied Arab lands for the line 4th of June 1967.

In a statement issued yesterday the Arab Parliaments stressed that "the unjustified American-British aggression on Iraq aims at controlling the Iraqi oil and reshaping the region in line with the Israeli and the American administration's interests."

They expressed that this aggression is considered a violation of the UN charter and unprecedented violation of international legitimacy resolutions.

They also appealed to the Arab leaders for "enhancing Arab solidarity and supporting the Iraqi people in facing the aggression."

Regarding the Palestinian question, Arab parliaments affirmed that "Israel's annihilation war against the Palestinians aims at burying alive the peace process and liquidating the Palestinian Intifada."

They also condemned the American complete bias to Israel and the American administration's mixing between the national resistance and terrorism.

Arab Parliaments stressed that peace in the Middle East can not be realized unless implementing the international legitimacy resolutions, the principle of land for peace and admitting the Palestinians' national rights. SANA
