Sudan: There should be preparedness for the worse

The Sudanese foreign minister Mustafa Othman Ismael has announced that Sudan is prepared for the worse possibilities in light of the developments of the current events in the region.

He called for the unification of the internal front in order to withstand developments. Ismael has called on the Sudanese parliament members to support the efforts made by the government in order to reach peace. He stressed the importance of unifying the internal front so as Sudan will be able to withstand worst possibilities.

Ismael who was reading a statement before the National Council ( the parliament) explained "the course of events make us study developments and read the developments of events." He stressed the importance of strengthening Sudan's relations with the neighboring states. He said "there is no concession concerning the supreme interests of the country. we seek to avoid Sudan hatched threats. " He, however, did not, disclose the nature of these threats.

Worthy mentioning the US President George Bush is expected to present his statement to the US congress in the last week of this month, April, including his assessment to the extent of the seriousness of the Sudanese government in the peace talks with the rebels in southern Sudan which is being made under the mediation of the of the government commission for development IGAD under the auspices of the USA.
