Iraq war sinful aggression, says Grand Sheikh Tantawi

Islam rejects the American and British "sinful aggression" launched against Iraq, Grand Sheikh of Al Azhar Mohammed Sayed Tantawi said at an international press conference Monday. He referred to the phrase "crusader wars" as a aberration, as such wars are not religious, but rather aimed at gaining control of the wealth of other countries. He called upon the UN to "close its doors" due to its failure to put decisions into effect and protect international resolutions.
