Some 29 European tourists are missing in the Algerian desert

German investigators said yesterday that 29 European tourists including 15 Germans were lost in the desert in Algeria. Officials from the German Criminal investigations agency and officials at the German and Austrian police traveled to the area to search for the tourists where many of them have not been heard since the end of February and other disappeared since at least one week.
In a message, the Austrian President Thomas Klistel sent to the Algerian President Abdul Aziz Butafleika yesterday, he asked "for exerting all efforts " to find the missing Austrians.
