Moussa confers with al-Meirghani

The secretary general of the Arab League Amr Moussa yesterday discussed with the chairman of the democratic national coalition party in Sudan, Muhammad Othman al-Meirghani, the exerted Arab efforts to rebuild the damaged areas in Sudan as a result of the battles that took place between the Sudanese army and the forces of the rebels in the south as well as supporting southern Sudan, in consolidation of Sudan's unity and stability.

Al-Meirghani stressed following the meeting the need of exerting Arab efforts in order to support development and stability in Sudan so as to strengthen Arab national security.

Al-Meirghani expressed his hope that a common vision will be reached between the Sudanese government and the rebels through the current negotiations in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
