Three Palestinians killed, confrontations continue in Palestinian territories
Two Palestinians were killed and other 15 wounded in an incursion in Deir al-Balah camp. The two killed are Marwan Abu Habab ( 23 year old ) and Muslim Abu Nadi ( 12 year old), while a third Palestinian was killed in an aggression by the Israeli forces against al-Masdar village in the downtown of Gaza where Israeli tanks were backed by Apache planes.

Syria's President Bashar Al-Assad received on Saturday a phone call from his French counterpart, Jacques Chirac. "Talks during the call dealt with the latest development of illegitimate war on Iraq," Syrian offfical news said. Chirac stressed the firm stance of France which opposes this war. Go

The World Organization Against Torture (OMCT)(main international NGO against torture) urged in Geneva on Thursday the Polisario (Algeria-backed secessionist group) to immediately free all Moroccan POWs it is still detaining in Tindouf camps (southwestern Algeria). Go

The minister for the Amir's divan affairs in Kuwait Sheikh Naser al-Ahmad has denied rumors which talked about the deterioration of health condition and the death of the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah. Go

Egypt's Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mahmoud Abu Zeid said the Nile Basin agreement doesn't allow selling and transporting water. Abu Zeid, during a symposium on water held at Suez Canal University yesterday, said the agreement also prohibits the execution of projects prejudicing the water quota hit 55.5 billion cubic meters a year under the water partitioning agreement signed in 1959. The American military leadership on Friday it exempted col. Hoe Dawoudi, one of the leaders of the American Marines in southern Iraq from his mission for reasons which it did not disclose. Go
