Egypt, Politics, 4/7/2003

Egypt's Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mahmoud Abu Zeid said the Nile Basin agreement doesn't allow selling and transporting water. Abu Zeid, during a symposium on water held at Suez Canal University yesterday, said the agreement also prohibits the execution of projects prejudicing the water quota hit 55.5 billion cubic meters a year under the water partitioning agreement signed in 1959.
