Organizations in Syria denounce the colonial war on Iraq

The popular organizations and vocational unions issued on Sunday a statement on the occasion of 56th anniversary of the foundation of the Baath Arab Socialist Party.

The statement stressed that the birth of the Baath Party on 7th of April in 1947 was imperative for the country to live in a unified free country.

The statement underlined that Syria under the leadership of President of Hafez al-Assad have gained political weight regionally and internationally.And now Syria is continuing the policy of the late president under the leadership President Bashar al-Assad.

The statement denounced the US. policy which represents the ugliest forms of state terrorism.

It pointed out that President Bashar al-Assad has truly expressed the Arab public opinion when he underlined the opposition to this unjust colonial war on Iraq.
