Libyan- Italian talks on the Iraqi war

Libya's secretary of the people's general committee for foreign relations and international cooperation Abdul Rahman Shalqam has discussed in a telephone call he made on Tuesday evening with the Italian foreign minister the "American- British aggression against Iraq."
The Libyan official news agency said that Shalqam called during the telephone call the UN and the international groups to shoulder their responsibilities to halt the aggression, noting that the acts of killing and destruction the people of Iraq suffer at the hands of the invading forces.
Shalqam also discussed with Algeria's Minister of State For Foreign Affairs Abdul Aziz Balkhadem, in a telephone call on Tuesday the situation in Iraq.
The two sides stressed the need of intensifying contacts with specialized UN organizations to halt this aggression.
