Yemeni oil exports during January and February this year have reached 285 million dollars in comparison with 180.7 million for the same period of 2002.
A Yemeni official report issued in Sanaa yesterday attributed the reason behind this increase to the increased oil prices in world markets as the price of each barrel reached USD 31.4 in comparison with USD 19.06 for the same period of 2002.
Worthy mentioning that Yemen's share of oil exports for 2002 reached 56.1 million barrels at a value of 1600 million dollars.
