Moroccan cross team wins bronze medal in Lausanne

Morocco won Lausanne on Sunday the bronze medal of men's cross race (12,3 km), a competition scheduled in the World Cross Country Championships staged in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Morocco ranked third with 56 points, behind Kenya (17pts) and Ethiopia (23 pts).
The Moroccan team in men's short cross (4km) won the bronze medal on Saturday with 44 points.
In the individual ranking, Morocco's Khalid El Amri and Abderrahim Goumri occupied the 6th and 10th places. Baday Ahmed finished 15th one second ahead of Abdelkader Hachlaf.
At Women Short cross (4km), the Moroccan team won the bronze medal with 66 points. This is Morocco's third medal after the gold of Marrakech in 1998 and the bronze in Belfast, 1999.
In Junior Women race, the Moroccan team won the bronze medal, Morocco's first in this competition.
