Lahoud denies American threats against Syria
Lebanon-Syria, Politics, 4/1/2003
Lebanese President Emile Lahoud denounced on Monday the threats delivered by the countries participating in the aggression on Iraq especially U.S.A against Syria and Lebanon. Lahoud said, during a meeting with Lebanese political officials, that these threats are a part of similar campaigns by Israel and another by its allies that target the "two brotherly countries" to affect their pan- Arab stances that reject the killing and destruction.
Lahoud asserted that the dangerous aspect which the U.S-British aggression has chosen after 12 days from the launching the attacks, suggests an immediate international movement to halt this aggression and to concord with the international law.
