Arab League denies American allegations against Syria

The Arab League has stressed its rejection for the statements made by the US state secretary Donald Rumsfeld on Syria's provision of equipment for Iraq.

The secretary general of the Arab League Amr Moussa explained yesterday that these statements come in the course of the American misleading campaign to cover the failure of the American- British aggression in achieving its objectives and to diverting the sight from the brutal crimes committees by the invading forces against women and children and their bombardment of houses and civilian establishments in Iraq.

The AL chief expressed support for the statement issued by the Syrian foreign ministry which was circulated on all world states, refuting the American claims. Moussa stressed that the Iraqi people are defending their lands and own existence against an invading force.
