Assyrian Oriental Church condemns the war against Iraq

The archbishopric of the Assyrian Oriental Church in Syria has condemned the American- British aggression on Iraq stressing that it is a strong violation to all heavenly religions, international laws and human rights.

In a statement issued today, the archbishopric stressed that the American-British war against Iraqi people is an unjustified war that has been planed for outside international legitimacy and the United Nations resolutions.

It also pointed out that the American-British forces aim at occupying Iraq, seizing its wealth and destabilizing the region.

The statement ended by praising Iraqi and Palestinian steadfastness.
