Dedfu temple opens for visitors in few days

Egypt's Minister of Culture Farouk Hosni will open in few days Edfu temple in Aswan after finishing the project of restoring and developing it. The temple will be visited for the first time through its main entrance built by ancient Egyptians 2300 years ago.
The Supreme Council of Antiquities Secretary General Zahi Hawas said that the three-year project cost L.E. 10 million in addition to L.E. 2 million allocated by Aswan Governor Samir Youssef to beautify and develop the town of Edfu and its buildings.
Meanwhile, chairman of Egyptian Antiquities sector archaeologists Sabry Abdul Aziz said that an accurate archeological restoration was carried out in the temple which was illuminated to receive Nile cruises which comes in the evening. Moreover, most developed electronic gates, protection and security systems, closed circuit TVs and metal detectors have been provided to the temple.
