One Palestinian was killed; Israeli incursion in Toulkarem camp

The Israeli forces backed by armored vehicles yesterday broke into Toulkarem camp for the Palestinian refugees in the West Bank and opened fire indiscriminately. This, however, resulted in the killing of one Palestinian citizen Muhammad Ghneim and wounding another strongly.

Palestinian security sources said that several Israeli tanks and two military vehicles incurred yesterday for hundreds of meters in Maan area in Khan Younis in Gaza and the Israeli soldiers opened fire at citizens and broke into several houses and this resulted in wounding two Palestinians and arresting other three. The Israeli forces also destroyed a two-level house for Amjad Abu al-Majd family.

Meantime, the Israeli forces reinforced its presence in occupied Jerusalem and its suburbs and deployed hundreds of citizens on Friday morning in precaution of confrontations to be taken with Palestinians.

An Israeli source said that the Israeli forces ran on-foot patrols on all roads leading to Jerusalem and its quarters and blocked most of these roads by cement barriers and prevented any Palestinian under age 40 from performing prayers at the al-Aqsa mosque.
