Lebanese demonstration in protest of war against Iraq

Lebanese People's Assembly's Speaker, Nabih Berri, renewed his denunciation yesterday to the U.S-British aggression against Iraq.

Berri, said during a meeting with an number of the parliament members that this aggression is not restricted to Iraq, but it is against the whole world.

He stressed the necessity for reaching a world solidarity with Iraq referring to the popular demonstrations all over the world.

Meanwhile, the teachers and employees association in Lebanon organized a 20 thousands demonstration denouncing the U.S - British aggression on Iraq.

The demonstration marched through Beirut streets to the U.N headquarters.

The demonstrators carried flags and place cards condemning the aggressive war against Iraq.

The demonstrators issued an announcement to U.N Secretary General Kofi Annan demanding an immediate halt to this war.
