Khatami: the situation in the region is a human disaster

Iranian President Muhammad Khatami, described the current situation in the region as a human disaster that has to be solved on the bases of logic and justice.

He also stressed that the world suffers of the war and of violence, So the nations have to fight domination and threats imposed on them.

For his part, Iranian Interior Minister, Abdulwahed Mosoy Lary stressed that the American- British war against Iraq is illegal.

In a statement today, he asserted that there is no security problems at Iraqi- Iranian borders.

Iranian Defense Ministry called for an immediate halt of the American- British war against Iraq.

In a statement issued today, the Ministry called on boycotting America and forcing it to halt the war stressing that it is illegal and immoral.

It added that the oil war is considered as a threat against the region and the world as a whole.

It concluded by calling on the international community to have a diplomatic efforts in order to halt this illegal war.
