Islamic Organization fears damage to Iraqi heritage
Regional-Iraq, Culture, 3/25/2003

Calling for the preservation of the Iraqi cultural heritage, the Islamic Organization for Education, Science, and Culture in Rabat has condemned the American- British war against Iraq.

In a statement issued yesterday, the organization warned the US. and Britain from causing harm for the Iraqi heritage.

It called the international community to move quickly to halt this aggression which is against the international law.

Reminding that Iraq possesses huge cultural and historical heritage in addition to the ruins and religious sites, the statement indicated that America and Britain are responsible for any harm done to this heritage.
