Sudan negotiations with the rebels

The secretary of the Sudanese foreign ministry Mutarraf Saddiq, who is also member of the negotiating governmental delegation said in a statement yesterday that the negotiations which were concluded last week between the government and the rebels in Kenya concentrated on the essence of the conflict in the three areas of Abyan, southern Blue Nile and al-Nouba mountain and means of finding out appropriate solutions for them.
For his part, member of the government's delegation to the negotiations Amin Hassan Omar described the recent round of talks with the rebel movement as very important. He explained that issues of mutual concern to these areas like development and providing services, the infrastructure and the participation of their citizens in the government.
