Arab FMs held a consultative meeting in Cairo
Iraq-Regional, Politics, 3/24/2003

Syria's Foreign Minister, Farouk al-Shara, asserted yesterday, at the consultative Arab foreign ministers' meeting, the necessity for adopting effective Arab resolutions that rise to the level of the responsibility for halting the U.S-led attacks against Iraq.

Earlier, Arab foreign Ministers held a consultative meeting with the participation of al-Shara.

The ministers discussed the main issue concerning the aggression against Iraq and its repercussions on the pan-Arab security and stability.

For his part, Iraqi foreign Minister, Naji Sabri, asserted his country's insistence to achieve victory against U.S and British troops.

He indicated that the fall of the American war planes and the capture of a number of U.S soldiers are part of the Iraqi resistance.

His speech came in an announcement following his arrival to Cairo in order to participate in the Arab foreign ministers' meeting
