Kurds on Turkish troops crossing Iraq
Iraq-Turkey, Politics, 3/22/2003

Member of the Kurdistani National Federation, Abdul Aziz Nacdet, said that the Kurdistani National Party and the Kurdistani Democratic Party do not oppose the entry of the Turkish party to the Northern Iraq area in the context of the alliances and under a united American leadership, in coordination with the Kurdish parties.

In a statement to the Monte Carlo radio yesterday indicated that "if the arrival of these forces is sole, this might cause grave problems in the region."

For his part the chairman of the Iraqi Constitutional Royal Movement al-Sharif Bin Ali considered that any Turkish intervention in Iraq will be positive, because the Turkish objective out of that is to ensure Iraq's unity and stability.

Al-Sharif added that Turkey's role in keeping the northern Iraq area liberated was basic in the past phase, thanks to the military and economic support provided by Turkey for this region through providing the way for trade and crossing through the Turkish boundaries.
