Kurdish official denies taking part in the attacks against Iraq
Iraq, Politics, 3/21/2003

The speaker of the Kurdish parliament Housh Shawes has denied that the Kurdish forces played any role in attacking Iraq or to have any information on how to work in the era after the collapse of the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.

In a statement to the BBC yesterday, Shawes said that in the current phase there is no provisional government in Iraq and there might be in future a need to form such a government. He added that the "Americans did not inform us about appointing a military ruler for Iraq after Saddam Hussein."
