Court adjourns Lebanese extradition case to March 26
Morocco-Lebanon, Judicial, 3/20/2003
Morocco's Supreme Court on Wednesday adjourned to March 26th the case of Lebanese national Hussein Hariri, who after escaping from Swiss prison, sought refuge in Morocco.
The court started examining last Wednesday the request by Swiss authorities to Moroccan authorities to extradite the Lebanese national who was arrested in Morocco.
The Lebanese national, 37, had hijacked in 1987 an Air-Afrique airplane, servicing Brazzaville-Paris, at a stop-over in Rome and detained 148 hostages. He was then arrested by the Swiss Special Forces when the plane landed in Geneva for re-fuelling, and was sentenced to 20 years in jail.
Casablanca police arrested Hariri last December.
