US ambassador denies new grace period for Iraq

The US ambassador to Kuwait, Richard Henry Jones, has denied any intention in his country to give a new grace period to Iraq after 4.15 JMT today (Thursday ) at dawn, adding that the attack might happen at any minute after the end of this grace period.
In a statement to the Kuwaiti daily al-Qabas issued yesterday, Jones stressed that the American forces will enter Iraq to make sure of dismantling the mass destruction weapons even if the Iraqi president resigns.
Jones added that Kuwait will continue to be important for the US for several years. He commended the Kuwaiti democracy which he described as the best in the region.
