Shara discusses developments with Moussa, French counterpart

A phone call was made on Tuesday between Syria's Foreign Minister Farouk Al-Shara and Arab League Secretary General, Amr Moussa.
Talks during the call dealt with the latest developments regarding the Iraqi question and with the importance of Arab states' opposition to warning and threatenings language which contradicts the Arab League charter and the United Nations principles.
Another phone call was made between al-Shara and French Foreign Minister, Dominique de Villepin, about the latest developments of the Iraqi question after the speech of US President George Bush.
Talks also dealt with the Security Council emergency meeting, on the Foreign Ministers level, due to be held tomorrow in New York.
The two ministers stressed the necessity of the peaceful settlement and averting the region and the world the constructive consequences of war.
The two sides agreed upon the continuation of consultation and coordination between Syria and France.
