Gulf economics to be affected by the likely war against Iraq
Gulf-Iraq, Politics, 3/17/2003
Economic reports have stressed that many of the Gulf economics will be affected as a result of a war against Iraq, including the movement of aviation, the sector of tourism, consumer markets and bourse.
In its report yesterday, the Omani daily Oman said in a report that these sectors have started to be affected even before the beginning of the spark of war especially the sector of tourism which resulted in a decrease in air flights to the Gulf region.
The report added that the economics of the region is linked to the world economy and therefore the world will be affected as a result of the war and this will cause recession in the Gulf economics despite the fact that oil prices will be higher during a time of war.
