Archaeological finds on Cairo-Alexandria highway

An archaeological mission unearthed three tombs in the area of Khashm Al-Kalb on the Cairo-Alexandria desert highway.
"The mission also discovered a golden ring with hieroglyphic inscriptions on it," said the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) Secretary General Zahi Hawas.
Meanwhile, chairman of Egyptian Antiquities Sector Archaeologist Sabry Abdul Aziz said that the tombs are not covered and include decayed human bones.
He added that amulets and 220 statuetted, which were used to be placed with the deceased according to the ancient Egyptians' beliefs, were discovered as well.
