Investment-encouraging laws enacted soon, justice minister

Morocco's Justice minister, Mohamed Bouzoubaa announced on Thursday that a string of laws encouraging investments will soon be enacted.

Bouzoubaa, who made the announcement in a meeting with members of the executive club of Moroccan investors abroad, mentioned, among others, the law concerning commercial arbitration, currently submitted to the General Secretariat of the government.

During the meeting, the Moroccan official also cited practical measures taken by his department to beef up communication with Moroccan investors abroad, by energising the action of the permanent commission in charge of litigations on investments projects by Moroccan expatriates, and by permanently mobilizing all tribunals, as of early May every year, to settle the expatriates' cases.

Bouzoubaa assured his interlocutors that a continuing cooperation is taking place between his department and the one in charge of Moroccans settled abroad, adding that the latter has devised a detailed action plan on investment aiming primarily to protect Moroccan investors abroad and provide theme with consulting on productive sectors.

The Club members, on their part, vowed to help bring foreign capital to Morocco and voiced support to the measures taken by Morocco to promote investments.
