Boeing wishes to become partner in Morocco's tourism development
Morocco, Business, 3/15/2003
US Aeronautic group "Boeing" wishes to become Morocco's partner in its ambitious tourism development strategy meant to attract 10 million tourists by 2010, said in Casablanca Thursday the US group executives.
The company is proud to take part in Morocco's tourism and air transport development, and wishes to be its best partner in its future projects, Boeing senior vice-president for international sales, Douglas Groseclose, said at a press conference.
Ties between Morocco and Boeing have gone beyond the buying and selling framework to encompass job creation and technologies transfer through the joint venture Matis Aerospace, set up in June 2001 to manufacture general-purpose wire bundles and electronic components.
Morocco and the group are bound by a 40 year-old partnership, and we are resolved to remain partners for the new millennium, said Ihssane Mounir, Boeing's Director for International sales.
