Chile will not vote for any war against Iraq

Chilean Foreign Ministry stressed yesterday that his Country will not support the American- British and Spanish draft resolution that paves the way for war against Iraq.

In Spain, scores of thousands of students and professors demonstrated in Madrid protesting against the American war on Iraq and against the Spanish government's subjugation to the American stance.

Demonstrators carried placards written on them "No blood for oil" and "get rid of Bush and Aznar." French Foreign Minister stressed yesterday that France is ready to continue searching for a peaceful solution to the Iraqi issue.

For its part the Russian Foreign Ministry pointed out that a unilateral American war against Iraq with out the permission of the United Nations would arouse the concern of the international community.

In Europe, million of Europeans yesterday protested against any war on Iraq the New York TImes reported.
