Foundation for inmates re-integration equips prison in Oujda

The Mohammed VI foundation for inmates integration has brought a contribution of 870,000 DH (US$ 87,000) to equipment worth 1.58 million DH (US$ 158,000) for the prison of Oujda (eastern Morocco).

The new equipment will help create training workshops for inmates to get out of prison with skills in embroidery, plumbing, carpentry, electricity, computer, and car mechanics.

The rest of equipment was financed by the department of vocational training.

The prison-equipment project is part of the prisoners integration pilot program that will be extended to other prisons. The overall program is worth 47 million DH (US$ 4.7 million).
