One Israeli soldier killed, many wounded in clashes with Palestinians

One Palestinian and one Israeli soldier were killed yesterday in clashes between resistance men and Israeli forces in Sidon village of Toulkarem district, where the Israeli forces carried out a campaign of arrest in the framework of its plan aiming at eliminating the Palestinian Intifada.

The Israeli forces also launched a campaign of arrest that targeted scores of the citizens of Toulkarem, and Ramullah and several villages in the West Bank, while an Israeli court in Haifa sentenced to 25 year imprisonment Fahemi Nasser, 57) year old, on charges of giving information to the Palestinian resistance.

Meantime, the Israeli defense minister Shaoul Mofaz has threatened the Palestinians to carry out a series of operations and military attacks in all occupied Palestinian territories in case war erupts by the US against Iraq, under the pretext of preventing Palestinian military operations during this war.

Mofaz added that a full military siege will be imposed on Gaza and the West Bank in the event of an American war against Iraq. He added that the Israeli forces will carry out vast operations against the Palestinians in case any Palestinian resistance military operation will take place during the war.
