An Islamic conference on Saturday in Jeddah to revitalize boycott of Israel
Regional-Israel, Economics, 3/13/2003

The conference of technicians and specialists concerned with "Israel boycot affairs" in the Islamic countries starts its deliberations on Saturday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The convening of the conference came in implementation of the resolutions of the Doha summit conference of the countries of the Organization of the Islamic Conference and the decisions of the conference of the OIC foreign ministers which was held in Khartoum in June 2002, with the call to revitalize the Islamic boycott of Israel.

Well-informed sources at the OIC said that the participation in the conference is vast including Arab and Islamic countries alike. The conference, the sources said will discuss means to revitalize the boycott and expanding its geographical cycle, eliminating obstacles hindering translating this boycott into reality in the Islamic countries on the ground that boycotting is one instrument in support of the Palestinian as it limits Israel's economic capability to continue its aggressions against the Palestinians.
