Al-Jazira: Qatar 's FM denies to have conveyed a message from Saddam to Bush

Qatar's foreign minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasem Bin Jaber al-Thani yesterday denied what was stated by the London- based al-Sharq al-Awsat daily that he was assigned to convey a message from the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein to his American counterpart George Bush who refused to get it in a meeting between the two men last Friday in Washington.
In a statement to the Qatari al-Jazira TV yesterday Sheikh Hamad said he did not carry any message from the Iraqi President nor was assigned to convey messages.
