Saudi Arabia wants the UN to have Israel dismantle mass destruction weapons

Saudi Arabia said on Monday that dismantling the mass destruction weapons should be obligatory for all countries of the region and not only for Iraq, in remarks of Israel's having the nuclear weapons.

The Saudi official news agency quoted a statement issued by the Saudi Cabinet in conclusion of its meeting which read that the Kingdom "stresses the need of getting rid off mass destruction weapons should be a policy and an obligatory practice on all countries of the region without any exception so as security and peace will prevail on its states and peoples."

The statement added that Riyadh "follows up with great interest the course of events as well as discussions which took place at the UN Security Council concerning the situation in Iraq and the contacts and efforts aiming at avoiding the region the consequences of the war against Iraq and solving the problem by peaceful means through the UN security council."
