AL chief to open latest Arab University in Beirut

The secretary general of the Arab League Amr Moussa will open next Friday in Beirut the latest ( advanced ) Lebanese university for Arab students. It is the International Lebanese University.
Moussa will also take part in the meetings of the university secretaries council which includes large number of known national figures.
The director of the Lebanese International University, Majdi Hammad, said that among members of the council of secretaries who will take part in the meeting are the Lebanese minister of higher education Mufid Shehab, the minister of Youths Ali eddin Hilal; Huda Abdul Nasser ( daughter of the late Egyptian President Jamal Abdul Nasser) the political sciences teacher at Cairo university, the UN assistant secretary general Elakhder al-Ibraheimi, the Syrian minister of information Adnan Omran, Lebanese minister of tourism Karam Karam, the Palestinian historian Ahmad Sidqi al-Dajjani and other figures from 8 Arab states.
Moussa' s visit to Lebanon will last for two days during which he will be meeting with several Lebanese officials to hold consultations on conditions in the region.
