Security Council members speak on the Iraqi crisis
Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin said France, as a permanent member of the Security Council, would not allow passage of a resolution that automatically authorized use of force. He proposed a three-point plan for continued inspections: that inspectors set a priority list of disarmament tasks, that they give a progress report every three weeks and that full implementation be assessed after 120 days as prescribed by Council resolution 1284, or even sooner if inspectors deem it feasible.

An affiliate of Egyptian group "Arab Contractors" has won a bid for infrastructure projects in Morocco, said the group CEO, Ibrahim Mahlab. The projects of electricity, drinking water, waste water treatment and port construction are worth an investment of $ 25 million. Go

The representative of the opposition Iraqi National Congress in Washington, Intiqad Qanbar, has vowed the support of the coming Iraqi government to make peace with Israel in case war errupts and after a victory of the American forces against the current Iraqi regime. Qanbar said "we will reach a peace treaty with Israel and will solve all regional conflicts peacefully." Go

Moroccan officials voiced the Kingdom's will to develop Morocco's economic cartography and set up a data base, adding that his department also endeavours to develop access to the global positioning system (GPS), as well as "Galeleo" system, which is a European satellite navigation means, managed by the European Space Agency.
