Saudi scholar forbids taking part in attacking Iraq
Saudi Arabia-Iraq, Politics, 3/7/2003

The Saudi Arabian scholar Sheikh Salman Bin Fahd al- Ouda has issued a Fatwa banning any individual, group or a country from taking part in attacking Iraq " in words, nor action, nor supplies and support."

In his Fatwa, al- Ouda said that the duty of Muslims is to prevent war and if not, at least to give up participation in it in any form.

Al-Ouda issued this Fatwa replying to a question raised by a GCC ( Gulf Cooperation council) soldier who was asked to head for Kuwait to station there.
