Qathafi provokes Saudi anger at Arab League summit

An open rift between existed at the Arab League summit Saturday as Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah clashed with Libya's Leader of the Revolution Colonel Muammar al Qathafi, with the Crown Prince angrily denying that his country was a US colony.
Gaddafi had stated at the meeting, called in the Egyptian resort of Sharm El-sheikh to discuss the Iraq crisis, that the entire Arabian peninsula was now in effect "an American protectorate."
This prompted Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdel-Aziz angrily to wave a finger at Qathafi across the meeting hall, declaring:" we are a Moslem country, we are not a colonized country."
