Nile water released into Zayed Canal-Toshka

Nile water was released on Thursday into the branches of Sheikh Zayed Canal in Toshka in the framework of the experimental program of the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources units, Mohamed Abu Zeid, Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources said.
The Nile water level in the Mubarak giant pumping station recorded 177.5 metres that is the same level in Lake Nasser, Abu Zeid added noting that the first stage of the project includes cultivating of 10 km around the first branch and 5 km around the second branch.
