Kurdistan: seven persons killed in a missile explosion
Iraq, Local, 2/28/2003

Iraq said yesterday that seven persons were killed at least and others were wounded near al-Mousel after an Iraqi missile supposed to be fired against the coalition planes exploded.

The missile fell on Wednesday at a residential area in Hammam al-Ali town, 20 Km to the south of al-Mousel where at least seven persons were killed and others wounded, according to statements made by passengers who arrived in Irbil in outside of the so-called "no fly zone" which is out of Baghdad's control in Kurdistan.

On February 1st, an Iraqi anti plane missile fell, but made no damage against a Kurdish town close to the separation line between Iraq's kurdistan and other areas, controlled by the Iraqi regime. The missile fell just a little time after American warplanes were passing in the airspace of the area, according to local population.
