Maher: no set date for Mubarak- Sharon meeting

The Egyptian foreign minister Ahmed Maher has stressed that there is no "fixed date for the meeting to be held between the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon. A meeting which was stated by the Israeli TV to be held in Sharm esh Sheikh next week.

Maher added to journalists on the sideline of the preliminary preparations for the Arab summit "there is no fixed date and all what was said (was) information that we do not know its source. We had said earlier that there is an agreement that Sharon will come to Sharm esh Sheikh but there is no fixed date for that."

Mubarak stressed by the beginning of February he had invited Sharon for a meting after he completes the formation of his government.
