Al-Sharq: Gulf ministerial meeting on March 2nd

The Qatari daily al-Sharq ( Orient) has stated that the ordinary session of the ministerial council of the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC member states will be held in Doha on March 2nd.

Al-Sharq said that the GCC foreign ministers will hold a coordination meeting for the EU- GCC joint ministerial meeting due to be held in Qatar on March 3rd.

The paper added that the GCC- EU meeting is of great importance and is being held in critical conditions the region has been witnessing especially in regard of the Iraqi crisis and the Palestinian question.

Among the economic issues which the ministers will concentrate on is the announcement made by the recent Doha GCC summit to found the common customs Union.
