Jordanian royal decree to organize parliamentary elections within 4 months

The Jordanian King Abdullah II has issued a royal decree to organize the parliamentary elections of the Jordanian parliament according to the enacted elections law, enforced since 1993.
The Jordanian government is expected to issue a new decision to set a date that would fall within the next four months, while well-informed Jordanian sources expected the elections to be carried out on June 17 or 18.
Last week the Jordanian government approved an amendment on the elections law stated to allocate a "quota" for women at the parliament of not less than 6 seats, and thereby number of the parliamentarians to increase to 110 seats.
