Jordanian king calls for settling crisis under the UN umbrella

During his meeting yesterday with a delegation representing the US Congress visiting Jordan, the Jordanian King has stressed the need of settling the Iraqi crisis peacefully and under the "umbrella of the UN."
The Jordanian news agency Petra said that the Jordanian King Abdullah stressed during his meeting with a US Congressional delegation chaired by the two members of the appropriation committee his support for the international diplomatic efforts aiming at reaching a peaceful solution that spares the region war against Iraq. The Jordanian King expressed hope to have a "peaceful settlement for this crisis under the umbrella of the UN."
